We were excited and privileged to welcome the Mahidol Tropical Medicine University Team back to Bamboo School yesterday. It was a pure charity visit on their behalf.  The groups included medics from Myanmar, Australia and Thailand.  They brought us rice, noodles, milk, sweet food, stationary and toys.  Dr. Teera has come back every year and many of the staff have become my friends over the years.  I am most excited to see young people offering to come out as volunteers to help. Unfortunately the babies were all asleep at the time.

We discussed the traditional/natural treatments of dengue fever, malaria and thalaseemia.  We also looked at the campus and gardens maintained by the children.  I hope that one day one of my grown children will join this medical group.
